Kindred Healthcare (KND) Misses Q4 EPS by 29c, Plans to Disocnitnue Qrt. Dividend

Kindred Healthcare (NYSE: KND) reported Q4 GAAP EPS of ($0.23), $0.29 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.06, may not compare. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.75 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.73 billion.

"The Kindred Board of Directors has determined that trading levels of the Company’s common stock do not sufficiently reflect the value of the Company’s quarterly cash dividend. Following the payment of the quarterly cash dividend mentioned above, the Kindred Board of Directors has determined to discontinue the Company’s quarterly cash dividend on its common stock and redirect the funds to repay debt and invest in growth."

Kindred Healthcare sees Q1 2017 EPS of $0.40-$0.70. Kindred Healthcare sees Q1 2017 revenue of $7.1-7.3 billion.

FY 2018 Cont. Ops. EPS ~$0.80, revenues of ~6.3 billion
