Baxter (BAX) Tops Q4 EPS by 5c, Q1 EPS Guidance Tops Views

Baxter (NYSE: BAX) reported Q4 EPS of $0.57, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.52. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.65 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.64 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Baxter sees FY2017 EPS of $2.10-$2.18, versus the consensus of $2.11.

• For full-year 2017, Baxter expects sales to be comparable to the prior-year period on a reported basis and to increase approximately 2 percent on a constant currency basis

Baxter sees Q1 2017 EPS of $0.50-$0.52, versus the consensus of $0.44.

• For the first quarter, the company expects sales growth of approximately 2 to 3 percent on a reported basis, or 3 to 4 percent on a constant currency basis.
