Caterpillar (CAT) Tops Q4 EPS by 17c, Sales Miss; Issues Mixed Guidance

Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) reported Q4 EPS of $0.83, $0.17 better than the analyst estimate of $0.66. Revenue for the quarter came in at $9.57 billion versus the consensus estimate of $9.84 billion.

GUIDANCE:

Caterpillar sees FY2017 EPS of $2.90 at midpoint, versus the consensus of $3.04. Caterpillar sees FY2017 revenue of $36-37.5 billion, versus the consensus of $37.99 billion.
