Delcath Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DCTH) 15.7% HIGHER; announced today that its Board of Directors and Laddcap Value Partners, a hedge fund holding approximately 11 percent of Delcath's total outstanding common stock, have reached an amicable resolution to all issues outstanding between them, bringing the two-month-long Consent battle to an end.
InFocus Corp. (Nasdaq: INFS) 12.4% LOWER; announced its revenues for the third quarter of 2006 are expected to be between $78 and $82 million, compared to $97.6 million for the second quarter of 2006. The revenue decline occurred in both the Americas and Europe. The consenus is $120 million.
Parametric Technology Corp. (Nasdaq: PMTC) 10.5% HIGHER; expects its financial results for the fiscal 2006 fourth quarter and full year ended September 30, 2006 to exceed its earlier guidance.
Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO) 8.4% LOWER; announced that a weaker than expected capital expenditure environment in data storage adversely impacted its results for Q3 (current quarter).
SUPERVALU Inc. (NYSE: SVU) 6% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $0.61, 8 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $10.7 billion vs. $10.64 billion. SVU sees diluted FY07 EPS between $2.18-$2.41 vs. current consensus of $2.21. Previous diluted earnings per share guidance after adjustments was $2.11 to $2.36.
Swift Transportation Co. Inc. (Nasdaq: SWFT) 5.2% HIGHER; expects net earnings for the quarter to be between $0.50 and $0.52 per share. Previous estimates, given on September 28, 2006, were for Q3 EPS to fall between $0.38-0.42. (Both estimates are before one-time impairment charges). Current consensus for Q3 EPS is $0.40.
NutriSystem Inc. (Nasdaq: NTRI) 5% HIGHER; Kaufman raises price target to $100
Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACOR) 3.8% HIGHER; extends recent momentum
CVS Corp. (NYSE: CVS) 3% HIGHER; CFO, David Rickard, said, "Given the strong trends in our business, we are raising our diluted earnings per share guidance for the third quarter, from a range of $0.28 - $0.30 to a range of $0.31 - $0.33. Consistent with that change, we are also raising our diluted earnings per share guidance for the full year 2006, from a range of $1.47 - $1.51 to a range of $1.50 - $1.54."
Imclone Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: IMCL) 3% HIGHER; announced that David M. Kies has resigned as Chairman, and as a member, of the ImClone Board of Directors, and that William W. Crouse has also resigned as an ImClone director. Both resignations are effective immediately.
DR Horton Inc. (NYSE: DHI) 2% HIGHER; JP Morgan upgrade
Toll Brothers Inc. (NYSE: TOL) 2% HIGHER; JP Morgan upgrade
Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE: S) 2% LOWER; announced the retirement of Tim Donahue, executive chairman of Sprint Nextel's Board of Directors effective Dec. 31, 2006. In addition, Sprint Nextel announced the appointment of Robert R. Bennett, former president and chief executive officer of Liberty Media Corp., to serve on the Sprint Nextel Board.
Starbucks Corp. (Nasdaq: SBUX) 1% LOWER; UBS dowgrade
Perficient Inc. (Nasdaq: PRFT) INDICATED HIGHER; is raising its revenue guidance for the third quarter of 2006.
