AnnTaylor Stores (ANN) Announces September Same-Store sales Increased 5.8%

AnnTaylor Stores (NYSE: ANN) announced that total net sales for the five-week period ended September 30, 2006 increased 13.9 percent to $232.3 million over total net sales of $204.0 million for the five-week period ended October 1, 2005.
Comparable store sales for the period increased 5.8% compared to a comparable store sales decrease of 2.7% for the same five-week period last year.
By division, comparable store sales for September 2006 were up 9.6% for Ann Taylor compared to a 4.0 percent increase last year, and were up 1.4% for Ann Taylor LOFT compared to an 8.5% decline last year.
