The Habit Restaurants (NASDAQ: HABT) reported Q2 EPS of $0.09, $0.01 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter came in at $71.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $71.09 million.
"We are pleased with our results for the second quarter with a company-operated comparable restaurant sales increase of 4.0%. By using high-quality limited time offers, targeted digital strategies, and innovative media partnerships we were able to amplify The Habit’s brand strategy of delivering everyday value, premium quality, and genuine hospitality. Together with great operational execution we were able to deliver our 50th consecutive quarter of positive quarterly comparable store sales increases," said Russ Bendel, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Habit Restaurants, Inc. "We opened six new company-operated Habit Burger Grills during the quarter. These openings included two on the East Coast – our fourth in New Jersey and second in the Washington, D.C. area."
GUIDANCE:
The Habit Restaurants sees FY2016 revenue of $284-286 million, versus the consensus of $287.92 million.
