L-3 Communications (LLL) Tops Q2 EPS by 19c; Raises Outlook

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) reported Q2 EPS of $1.88, $0.19 better than the analyst estimate of $1.69. Revenue for the quarter came in at $2.66 billion versus the consensus estimate of $2.49 billion.

“We are pleased to report another quarter of progress on L-3’s strategy to drive growth through organic sales and higher operating income,” said Michael T. Strianese, chairman and chief executive officer. “Our initiatives to strengthen our core businesses and market-leading positions have led to solid results and higher operating margin across all segments. By focusing on performance and organic growth, we will continue to generate value to all of our stakeholders."

GUIDANCE:

L-3 Communications sees FY2016 EPS of $7.65-$7.85, versus prior guidance of $7.55-$7.75 and the consensus of $7.81. L-3 Communications sees FY2016 revenue of $10.15-10.25 billion, versus prior guidance of $9.95-10.15 billion and the consensus of $10.12 billion.
