Rent-A-Center (RCII) Misses Q2 EPS by 8c, FY Guidance Falls Short

Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ: RCII) reported Q2 EPS of $0.41, $0.08 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.49. Revenue for the quarter came in at $749.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $782.12 million.
GUIDANCE:
Rent-A-Center sees FY2016 EPS of $1.65-$1.85, versus the consensus of $2.02.
- Core revenue down 8.5% to 11.5% and Core same store sales down 5% to 8% due to the ongoing impact of the lower Core segment portfolio balance at the end of the quarter, which was impacted primarily by the point of sale system rollout, and the continued rationalization of our store base
- Acceptance Now revenue of $805 to $835 million
