Vanguard Natural Resources (NASDAQ: VNR) reported Q2 EPS of $0.24, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.10. Revenue for the quarter came in at $0 versus the consensus estimate of $0 .
Mr. Scott W. Smith, President and CEO, commented, “We are pleased with our second quarter results. The continued focus by our field and office staff has resulted in significant savings in lease operating expenses and general and administrative expenses over the first half of the year after consideration of the LRR Energy and the Eagle Rock Energy mergers. We will continue to look for ways to reduce costs while maintaining a culture of safety first in our operations. Additionally, we were also pleased to make some progress in reducing our leverage during the quarter with the sale of our SCOOP/STACK area in Oklahoma.”
