Mentor Graphics (MENT) Tops Q1 EPS by 2c; Guides Q2 Above the Street

Mentor Graphics (NASDAQ: MENT) reported Q1 EPS of $0.02, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.00. Revenue for the quarter came in at $227.64 million versus the consensus estimate of $219.83 million.

“Mentor modestly exceeded guidance for first quarter, although weakness in semiconductor-related activity continued,” said Walden C. Rhines, chairman and CEO of Mentor Graphics. “Bookings and revenue from automotive customers set a first quarter all-time record. Mentor’s customer breadth and our range of system design products and services continue to be an advantage.”

GUIDANCE:

Mentor Graphics sees Q2 2017 EPS of $0.09, versus the consensus of $0.08. Mentor Graphics sees Q2 2017 revenue of $245 million, versus the consensus of $234.7 million.
