New York & Co. (NWY) Misses Q1 EPS by 7c; Issues Light Q1 Outlook

New York & Co. (NYSE: NWY) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.03), $0.07 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.04. Revenue for the quarter came in at $216 million versus the consensus estimate of $225.06 million.

Comparable store sales decreased 2.3% and total net sales decreased by 3.3%, reflecting the operation of 488 stores this year, as compared to 504 in the first quarter of 2015.

GUIDANCE:

New York & Co. sees Q2 2016 EPS of $0.00-$0.01, versus the consensus of $0.09.
