Cardinal Health (CAH) Raises Quarterly Dividend 15.8% to $0.4489; Approves $1B Stock Buyback

Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.4489 per share, or $1.7956 annualized. This is a 15.8% increase from the prior dividend of $0.3875.
The dividend will be payable on July 15, 2016, to stockholders of record on July 1, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of June 30, 2016.
The annual yield on the dividend is 2.3 percent.
The board of directors also approved a new authorization to repurchase up to $1 billion of Cardinal Health common shares, which will expire on Dec. 31, 2019. The new share repurchase program is in addition to the program approved in August 2014, of which $393 million remains available.
