Kadant (KAI) Tops Q1 EPS by 14c; Boosts FY16 Outlook

Kadant (NYSE: KAI) reported Q1 EPS of $0.72, $0.14 better than the analyst estimate of $0.58. Revenue for the quarter came in at $97 million versus the consensus estimate of $86.37 million.

GUIDANCE:

Kadant sees Q2 2016 EPS of $0.50-$0.53, versus the consensus of $0.81. Kadant sees Q2 2016 revenue of $103-105 million, versus the consensus of $98.2 million.

Kadant sees FY2016 EPS of $2.75-$2.85, versus prior guidance of $2.80-$2.90 and the consensus of $2.95. Kadant sees FY2016 revenue of $412-422 million, versus prior guidance of $370-380 million and the consensus of $386.1 million.
