Waddell & Reed Financial (WDR) Misses Q1 EPS by 11c

Waddell & Reed Financial (NYSE: WDR) reported Q1 EPS of $0.45, $0.11 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.56. Revenue for the quarter came in at $385.46 million versus the consensus estimate of $338.13 million.

Assets under management declined 9% sequentially due to an increase in net outflows and market depreciation. Compared to the same period in 2015, assets under management declined 23% due to a combination of net outflows and market depreciation.
