Capella Education (CPLA) Tops Q1 EPS by 5c

Capella Education (NASDAQ: CPLA) reported Q1 EPS of $0.86, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.81. Revenue for the quarter came in at $105.4 million versus the consensus estimate of $105.16 million.

Capella University total active enrollment increased 2.6 percent to 38,503, new enrollment decreased by 3.7 percent compared to first quarter 2015, and early cohort persistence improved by approximately 2 percent.
