Tractor Supply (NASDAQ: TSCO) reported Q1 EPS of $0.50, $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of $0.46. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.47 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.45 billion.
Comparable store sales increased 4.9% compared to a 5.7% increase in the prior year period. The increase in comparable store sales was driven by an increase in both traffic and ticket, with comparable store transaction count increasing 4.2% and average ticket increasing 0.7%.
GUIDANCE:
Tractor Supply sees FY2016 EPS of $3.40-$3.48, versus the consensus of $3.46. Tractor Supply sees FY2016 revenue of $6.9-7.0 billion, versus the consensus of $6.92 billion.
