Contango Oil & Gas (MCF) Posts Q4 GAAP Loss of $5.85/Share

Contango Oil & Gas (NYSE: MCF) reported Q4 EPS of ($5.85), $5.04 worse than the analyst estimate of ($0.81). Revenue for the quarter came in at $21.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $23.16 million.

Excluding the impairment charges for both periods and the forfeited deposit, the net loss, before income tax benefit, was $41.6 million in 2015 compared to a pre-tax net loss of $6.2 million in 2014. Average weighted shares outstanding were approximately 19.0 million for the current and prior year quarters.
