Aratana Therapeutics (PETX) Tops Q4 EPS by 4c

Aratana Therapeutics (NASDAQ: PETX) reported Q4 EPS of ($0.37), $0.04 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.41).

Financial Guidance During 2016, Aratana expects to continue investing in the development of its lead product candidates, including manufacturing and success-based milestone payments. The Company anticipates spending approximately $30 million in research and development in 2016. The Company expects very modest revenue in 2016 from its lymphoma franchise as it awaits post-approval studies results. Aratana anticipates use of cash in 2016 to be $45 million to $55 million, which includes the establishment of inventory and other commercial launch preparations, as well as contractual payments associated with the successful completion of development, regulatory and commercial milestones.
