Party City (PRTY) Tops Q4 EPS by 1c; Guides FY16 Revenue Below Expectations

Party City (NYSE: PRTY) reported Q4 EPS of $0.76, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.75. Revenue for the quarter came in at $782 million versus the consensus estimate of $784.84 million.

Brand comparable sales increased 2.8% driven by a strong Halloween season which resulted in a 3.3% increase in brand comparable sales for fiscal October.

GUIDANCE:

Party City sees FY2016 EPS of $1.17-$1.25, versus the consensus of $1.19. Party City sees FY2016 revenue of $2.35-2.42 billion, versus the consensus of $2.44 billion.
