Waste Management (WM) Tops Q4 EPS by 3c; Plans Dividend Hike

Waste Management (NYSE: WM) reported Q4 EPS of $0.71, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.68. Revenue for the quarter came in at $3.25 billion versus the consensus estimate of $3.28 billion.
GUIDANCE:
Waste Management sees FY2016 EPS of $2.74-$2.79, versus the consensus of $2.76.
- The Board of Directors has indicated its intention to increase the dividend by $0.10 to $1.64 per share on an annual basis, for an approximate annual cost of $730 million. The Board must separately declare each dividend.
- The Company expects to repurchase up to $1 billion of common stock.
