U.S. Bancorp (USB) Posts Q4 GAAP EPS of 80c

U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) reported Q4 EPS of $0.80, $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of $0.79. Revenue for the quarter came in at $5.21 billion versus the consensus estimate of $5.12 billion.

The fourth quarter of 2015 reflected a gain on the sale of a deposit portfolio, partially offset by accruals related to legal and compliance matters that, combined, increased diluted earnings per common share by $.01.
