Movie Gallery (Nasdaq: MOVI) 50% LOWER; reports Q2 loss of $0.47 per share, versus the consensus of a $0.09 loss. Revenues came in at $601.3 million versus the consensus of $619.1 million.
Imax Corp (Nasdaq: IMAX) 40.7% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.08, 1 cent better than estimates.(0.07) Revenues were $41.39 million vs. $39.88 million consensus. Said while it received significant initial interest from multiple parties, its view is that there are presently no buyers who have indicated a willingness to acquire the Company at a valuation sought by the Board of Directors. The Company indicated that it is in the process of responding to an informal inquiry from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the Company's timing of revenue recognition.
Shares of Implant Sciences Corporation (AMEX: IMX) 39% HIGHER; are surging higher after the company said they expects to report fiscal 2006 revenues in the range of $24 million to $25 million for the full fiscal year. This compares to revenues of approximately $12.3 million for our previous fiscal year which ended June 30, 2005. NOTE: Shares are likely seeing added benefit related to a play on homeland security following thwarted terror plot.

Credence Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: CMOS) 24% LOWER; is revising its fiscal third quarter revenues and earnings guidance. Credence expects that revenues for it fiscal third quarter ended July 31, 2006 will be approximately $108 million to $110 million compared to previous guidance of $125 million to $128 million. The Company anticipates that gross margins will be adversely affected and the Company will incur a net loss for the period.

UTStarcom (Nasdaq: UTSI) 14% HIGHER; reports Q2 loss of $0.18, better than the consensus of a $0.46 loss. Revenues were $549.1 million vs. $558.56 million consensus. Sees Q3 revenues of $590-$625 million versus the consensus of $608.5 million.
ImClone Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ: IMCL) 13.4% LOWER; said its Board of Directors has completed a review of the Company's strategic alternatives and has made the decision to remain independent, saying transaction alternatives did not provide sufficient premium to shareholders.
Cephalon, Inc. (Nasdaq: CEPH) 12.7% LOWER; received a letter from the FDA stating that the company's supplemental new drug application (sNDA) for SPARLON Tablets, a proprietary dosage form of modafinil for the treatment of attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder in children and adolescents, is not approvable.
