Kindred Healthcare (KND) Tops Q3 EPS by 8c, Lowers FY EPS Guidance

Kindred Healthcare (NYSE: KND) reported Q3 EPS of $0.33, $0.08 better than the analyst estimate of $0.25. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.76 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.82 billion.

Kindred Healthcare sees FY2015 EPS of $1.55-$1.70, versus prior guidance of $1.70-$1.90 and may not compare to the consensus of $1.36. Kindred Healthcare sees FY2015 revenue of $7.1 billion, versus prior guidance of $7.2 billion and the consensus of $7.2 billion.

• Core earnings of $1.15 to $1.30 per diluted share(4) (previously $1.25 to $1.45)
• Core EBITDAR of approximately $970 million to $990 million(3) (previously $1.0 billion to $1.05 billion)
