Vitamin Shoppe (VSI) Tops Q3 EPS by 5c

Vitamin Shoppe (NYSE: VSI) reported Q3 EPS of $0.52, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.47. Revenue for the quarter came in at $313.9 million versus the consensus estimate of $317.28 million.

Retail comparable sales were 0.1% and e-commerce comparable sales were up 0.6%. Retail sales growth was partially offset by a decrease in manufacturing third-party sales. The company opened 15 stores in the quarter and closed one.

Vitamin Shoppe sees FY2015 EPS of $2.05-$2.15, versus the consensus of $2.08.
