Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS) Tops Q3 EPS by 6c, Boosts FY EPS Guidance

Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE: DPS) reported Q3 EPS of $1.08, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $1.02. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.63 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.59 billion.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group raised FY FY2015 EPS to $3.92-$3.98, versus the consensus of $3.96.

  • Collectively, foreign currency translation and transaction are now expected to negatively impact net sales and core EPS growth by approximately 2% and 5%, respectively.
  • Packaging and ingredient costs are now expected to decrease COGS by approximately 2% on a constant volume/mix basis.
  • The company continues to expect its core tax rate to be approximately 35.5%.
  • The company continues to expect capital spending to be approximately 3% of net sales.
  • The company continues to expect to repurchase $500 million to $550 million of its common stock
