Cowen reiterated an Outperform rating and $7.00 price target on Maxwell Technologies (NASDAQ: MXWL) following the company's announcement that its ultracapacitor technology will be a standard feature on 2016 Cadillac ATS and CTS Sedans and ATS Coupes. This will make General Motors (NYSE: GM) the first North American OEM to integrate ultracapacitors as part of the enhanced startstop system.
Analyst Jeffrey Osborne commented, "Maxwell announced today that its ultracapacitor technology will be a standard feature on 2016 Cadillac ATS and CTS Sedans and ATS Coupes, making General Motors the first North American OEM to integrate ultracapacitors as part of the enhanced startstop system, which lowers fuel costs, improves performance, and reduces emissions."
