Big Lots (NYSE: BIG) reported Q2 EPS of $0.40, $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of $0.34. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.21 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.2 billion.

Comparable store sales for stores open at least fifteen months increased 2.8% for the second quarter of fiscal 2015, compared to our guidance of +2% to +3%.
