Westar Energy (WR) Tops Q2 EPS by 5c, Maintains FY EPS Guidance

Westar Energy (NYSE: WR) reported Q2 EPS of $0.47, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter came in at $589.6 million versus the consensus estimate of $625.1 million.

The company affirmed its 2015 earnings guidance of $2.18 to $2.33 per share.
