The Ensign Group (ENSG) Tops Q2 EPS by 3c

The Ensign Group (NASDAQ: ENSG) reported Q2 EPS of $0.60, $0.03 better than the analyst estimate of $0.57. Revenue for the quarter came in at $311.06 million versus the consensus estimate of $318.86 million.

Same-store skilled mix revenue grew by 159 basis points over the prior year quarter to 53.9% due to an increase in Medicare and managed care days of 288 and 796 basis points, respectively, over the prior year quarter.

The Ensign Group sees FY2015 EPS of $2.47-$2.56, versus the consensus of $2.50.
