Stage Stores (SSI) Tops Q1 EPS by 1c; Comps Fell 1.1%

Stage Stores (NYSE: SSI) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.27), $0.01 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.28). Revenue for the quarter came in at $369.3 million versus the consensus estimate of $379.92 million.

Comparable sales decreased 1.1%, due in part to a Mother’s Day marketing shift.
