Party City (PRTY) Tops Q1 EPS by 6c; Guides FY15

Party City (NYSE: PRTY) reported Q1 EPS of ($0.03), $0.06 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.09). Revenue for the quarter came in at $462.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $433 million.

Brand comparable sales increased by 5.2% aided by the shift of the Easter selling season to the first quarter which contributed 1.5% to the increase.

Party City sees FY2015 EPS of $0.97 - $1.06. Party City sees FY2015 revenue of $2.25 - $2.35 billion.
