Aeropostale (ARO) Posts Surprise Q4 Profit; Comps Fell 9%

Aeropostale (NYSE: ARO) reported Q4 EPS of $0.01, $0.05 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.04). Revenue for the quarter came in at $593.76 million versus the consensus estimate of $578.4 million.

Fourth quarter comparable sales, including the e-commerce channel, decreased 9%, compared to a decrease of 15% for the corresponding period of the prior year.

Aeropostale sees FY2015 EPS of ($0.61) - ($0.53), versus the consensus of ($1.45).
