Ingersoll-Rand (NYSE: IR) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.29 per share, or $1.16 annualized. This is a 16% increase from the prior dividend of $0.25.
The dividend will be payable on March 31, 2015, to stockholders of record on March 13, 2015, with an ex-dividend date of March 11, 2015.
The annual yield on the dividend is 1.7 percent.
“Since 2010 we have raised our annual dividend from 28 cents to $1.16 – an increase of more than 400 percent,” said Michael W. Lamach, chairman and chief executive officer of Ingersoll Rand. “Today’s dividend increase further demonstrates the balanced capital allocation strategy we have communicated and executed for the past several years. That strategy continues to deliver value for our shareholders, while still investing in long-term growth opportunities for our business.”
