Apollo Education (APOL) Tops Q1 EPS by 2c; Issues Light Q2, FY15 Revs Outlook

Apollo Education (NASDAQ: APOL) reported Q1 EPS of $0.44, $0.02 better than the analyst estimate of $0.42. Revenue for the quarter came in at $719.1 million versus the consensus estimate of $728.01 million.

First quarter 2015 University of Phoenix New Degreed Enrollment was 39,600, down 5.0% from first quarter 2014, and Degreed Enrollment decreased 13.5% to 227,400, compared to the same period from the prior year.

Apollo Education sees FY2015 revenue of $2.74-2.80 billion, versus the consensus of $2.81 billion.

Apollo Education sees Q2 2015 revenue of $580-595 million, versus the consensus of $610.5 million.
