SUPERVALU (NYSE: SVU) reported Q3 EPS of $0.12, $0.02 worse than the analyst estimate of $0.14. Revenue for the quarter came in at $4.2 billion versus the consensus estimate of $4.09 billion.
Identical store sales in the Save-A-Lot network were positive 6.9 percent. Identical store sales for corporate stores within the Save-A-Lot network were positive 8.5 percent. Identical store sales in the Retail Food segment were positive 2.3 percent. Total sales within the Independent Business segment increased 2.4 percent. Fees earned under the Transition Services Agreements (“TSA”) in the third quarter were $43 million compared to $48 million last year.
