Equity Residential (NYSE: EQR) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.50 per share, or $2 annualized.

The dividend will be payable on January 9, 2015, to stockholders of record on December 26, 2014, with an ex-dividend date of December 23, 2014.

The annual yield on the dividend is 2.8 percent.
