Tony Hayward
Tony Hayward served as the CEO of oil giant BP PLC (NYSE: BP) since May 2007; giving him the unfortunate timing of serving as chief during the disastrous April 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill.
After taking much heat for BP's poor well quality control, lack of response and inability to stop the gusher for months and months, the spill is ultimately expected to lead to Hayward's downfall.
US-born Robert Dudley, who took over BP's response to the oil spill in June 2010, is expected to replace Hayward as CEO.
