MMI Investments
MMI Investments is a hedge fund run by Clay B. Lifflander. The fund has been described as having the "buyout touch" because it owned positions in companies before buyout deals were announced. Some examples include Acxiom (ACXM), Paxar (PXR), and Andrx (ADRX).
Prior to joining MMI, Mr. Lifflander served as President of the NYC Economic Development Corp. under Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Before that, he was the Managing Director in the M&A Group at Smith Barney.
