Electronic Arts (EA) Gains as Star Wars: Battlefront Beta Extended

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) is seeing sharp upside today, which some attribute to the extended beta of Star Wars: Battlefront.

The beta was extended until Tuesday, October 13th by the company for further technical tests.

"These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity," the company said

The highly-anticipated game is expected to launch on November 17th.

Shares of EA are up 3.6% to $67.41.
