China Internet Names Attempt to Stabilize After EDU-Related Shellacking

Some China Internet names are attempting to stabilize after being taken to the woodshed earlier with the SEC probe of New Oriental Education (NYSE: EDU).

Some analysts are commenting that the EDU news is company-specific and should not be impacting other names.

  • Tudou Holdings (Nasdaq: TUDO) - down 9 percent;
  • Focus Media Holding Ltd. (Nasdaq: FMCN) - down 5 percent;
  • SINA Corp. (Nasdaq: SINA) - down 7 percent;
  • Renren (NYSE: RENN) - down 5 percent;
  • Baidu (Nasdaq: BIDU) - down 3 percent;
  • Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd (Nasdaq: QIHU) - down 3 percent;
  • E-Commerce China Dangdang Inc. (Nasdaq: DANG) - down 4 percent;
  • Sohu.com (Nasdaq: SOHU) - down 4 percent
