In February 2013, the Board of Directors of Origin Agritech Limited (NASDAQ: SEED), authorized $5,000,000 for the repurchase of common shares in the public market, from time to time, during the next 12 months. The company entered into an agreement with a United States based brokerage firm to make the purchases, which will be in compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission regulations applicable to company repurchases. There can be no assurance that the company will repurchase any shares, which will depend on market conditions and company criteria.
