Linear Technology (Nasdaq: LLTC) 11.5% HIGHER; Reports Q3 GAAP EPS of $0.32 (Non-GAAP EPS was $0.37) vs. consensus of $0.32. Revenues were $255 million vs. $253.98 million consensus. The Company also announced its plans to enter into an accelerated stock repurchase transaction, subject to market and other conditions, pursuant to which it will repurchase approximately $3 billion of its shares of common stock.
Introgen Therapeutics (NASDAQ: INGN) 10.5% HIGHER; A cancer-suppressing gene has been successfully delivered into the tumors of stage IV lung cancer patients via Introgen's intravenously administered lipid nanoparticle product candidate INGN 401. In a phase 1 clinical trial conducted at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, the gene, FUS1, was found to be active in patients' metastatic non-small cell lung cancer tumors.

Washington Mutual (NYSE: WM) 5.8% HIGHER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.86, 3 cents better than estimates. The Board of Directors increased the cash dividend on the company's common stock for the 47th consecutive quarter to 55 cents per share.
OMI Corporation (NYSE: OMM) 5.4% HIGHER; Teekay Shipping Corporation (NYSE: TK) and A/S Dampskibsselskabet TORM (NASDAQ: TRMD) entered into a definitive agreement to acquire OMI. The agreement was unanimously approved by OMI's Board of Directors. Under the agreement, OMI shareholders will receive $29.25 in cash for each share of OMI common stock they hold.
