Transmeta (Nasdaq: TMTA) 17.4% LOWER; Reports a Q4 loss of $0.08, 2 cents worse than estimates.(-.06) Revenues were $2.4 million vs. $3.0 million consensus.

AVANIR Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: AVNR) 15.2% LOWER; Announced the Company has met with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials to address concerns expressed in the FDA's October 30, 2006 approvable letter for Zenvia(TM) as a treatment for involuntary emotional expression disorder (IEED) and to present AVANIR's proposed strategy to gain approval for Zenvia for this indication. As a result of this analysis, the FDA has requested that AVANIR supplement the new drug application (NDA) for Zenvia with additional clinical data to confirm that the proposed lower dose is effective and that it enhances the safety profile. The FDA proposed a single well controlled study to test lower exposure of dextromethorphan with the agreed-upon lower Quinidine dose.

EpiCept (Nasdaq: EPCT) 14.6% HIGHER; Announced that it will host a conference call on March 1, 2007 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time to discuss recent progress with its oncology programs. During the call EpiCept will provide an update on the regulatory progress of Ceplene(TM) (histamine dihydrochloride), its lead oncology product candidate that is administered in conjunction with low dose interleukin-2 (IL- 2) and is intended for use in the maintenance of first remission in patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). EpiCept also will provide clinical and regulatory updates on its apoptosis program, including EPC2407, its novel small molecule vascular disruption agent and apoptosis inducer for the treatment of patients with advanced solid tumors and lymphomas, as well as Azixa(TM), the lead compound in a series of apoptosis inducer compounds for the treatment of cancer.

PRA International (Nasdaq: PRAI) 14.1% LOWER; Reports Q4 EPS of $0.23 vs. consensus of $0.29. Revenues were $92.54 million vs. $81.65 million consensus. Sees FY07 revenues between $330-$350 million vs. consensus of $356.7 million. Sees FY EPS between $0.95-1.05 vs. $1.28 consensus.

New Plan Excel Realty Trust (NYSE: NXL) 14.1% HIGHER; The company and Centro Properties Group entered into a definitive agreement with affiliates of Melbourne, Australia-based Centro pursuant to which Centro will acquire New Plan for $33.15 per share of common stock in cash in a transaction valued at approximately $6.2 billion, including assumption of debt and preferred stock.

Fremont General Corp (NYSE: FMT) 12% LOWER; Announced that it will postpone the release of its fourth quarter and full-year 2006 results of operations, as well as the conference call to discuss such results, each previously scheduled for February 28, 2007. The Company also announced that it will not file its Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2006 by March 1, 2007 and that it intends to file a Form 12b-25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission explaining the reasons therefor.

Dycom (NYSE: DY) 11.6% HIGHER; Reports Q2 EPS of $0.14, 1 cent better than estimates.(0.13) Revenues were $258.3 million vs. $253.39 million consensus. Sees Q3 revenues between $275-295 million vs. $274.95 million consensus. Sees Q3 EPS between $0.23-0.28 vs. consensus of $0.24.

Audible (Nasdaq: ADBL) 10.7% HIGHER; Reports a Q4 loss of $0.03, 4 cents better than estimates.(-.07) Revenues were $23.3 million vs. $21.94 million consensus. Upgrades at Jefferies and Merriman Curhan.

Joy Global (Nasdaq: JOYG) 10.6% LOWER; Reports Q1 EPS of $0.51, 9 cents worse than estimates. Revenues were $560 million vs. $629.39 million consensus.

Leap Wireless (Nasdaq: LEAP) 9.2% HIGHER; Reports a Q4 loss of $0.60 vs. consensus for a loss of $0.35 - may not be comparable. Revenues were $314.5 million vs. $315.99 million consensus.
