Gemstar-TV Guide International, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMST) 13% HIGHER; has authorized the Company and its advisors to explore strategic alternatives intended to maximize shareholder value, which may include a sale of the Company.
WD-40 Co. (Nasdaq: WDFC) 10% LOWER; reports Q3 of $0.44, versus the consensus of $0.47. Revenues came in at $77.6 million versus the consensus of $80.94 million. Sees FY EPS of $1.70-$1.75, versus the consensus of $1.78.
The Pantry, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTRY) 10% LOWER; expects to report diluted earnings per share for the third quarter in a range between $0.45 and $0.50, with a $0.06 charge, versus the consensus of $0.97.
The company expect earnings per share for the full 2007 fiscal year to be between $1.65 and $1.80, versus the consensus of $2.26. For 2008, the company sees earnings per share of $2.70 to $3.00, versus the consensus of $3.27.
BigBand Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: BBND) 6% HIGHER; Merrill Lynch upgrades from Neutral to Buy
Sears Holdings Corporation (Nasdaq: SHLD) 5% LOWER; sees Q2 EPS between $1.06 and $1.32 per fully diluted share, including an $0.08 gain, versus the consensus of $2.12.
The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. (NYSE: PBG) 4.8% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.70, 7 cents better than estimates. Revenues were $3.4 billion vs. $3.29 billion consensus. 2007 Guidance - PBG raised its full year diluted EPS guidance from a range of $1.90 to $1.98 to $2.02 to $2.07. (Consensus is $1.98)
SonoSite Inc. (Nasdaq: SONO) 4.6% LOWER; to Offer $150 Million of Convertible Senior Notes
Kendle International (Nasdaq: KNDL) 4% LOWER; Intends to Offer $150 Million of Convertible Senior Notes
Akamai Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM) 4% HIGHER; will replace Biomet Inc. (NASDAQ: BMET) in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on Wednesday, July 11.
Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) 3.3% HIGHER; announced that during the first quarter of fiscal year 2008, the company shipped more than four million units of Spider-Man 3, two million units of Shrek the Third, approximately one million units of TRANSFORMERS: The Game and more than one million units of Guitar Hero II. As a result, the company now expects that its financial results for the first quarter fiscal year 2008 will exceed its previously reported outlook on May 31, 2007.
Cheesecake Factory (Nasdaq: CAKE) 3% HIGHER; revenues increased approximately 15.7% to $373.2 million from $322.6 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2006.
NATCO Group Inc. (NYSE: NTG) 2% HIGHER; will replace Genesis Healthcare Corp. (NASDAQ: GHCI) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on a date to be announced.
Perficient, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRFT) INDICATED HIGHER; is raising its revenue guidance for the second quarter of 2007. The Company expects its second quarter services and software revenue, including reimbursed expenses, to be in the range of $51.8 million to $53.0 million, versus previous guidance range of $48.5 million to $51.2 million. The consensus is $50.96 million.
