Hoku Scientific, Inc. (Nasdaq: HOKU) 65% HIGHER; The company and Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STP) announced the signing of a definitive contract for Hoku's sale and delivery of polysilicon to Suntech over a ten-year period beginning in mid-2009. Under the contract, up to approximately $678 million may be payable to Hoku during the ten-year period, subject to the achievement of milestones, the acceptance of product deliveries and other conditions.

Barrier Therapeutics, Inc. (Nasdaq: BTRX) 30% LOWER; reported mixed results from its completed Phase 2/3 study of liarozole in lamellar ichthyosis, a rare genetic disorder. The CEO said, "Although we just missed statistical significance for the primary endpoint, we are pleased with these results given the limited number of patients in the study. These results are consistent with data from previous studies of liarozole in this rare debilitating disease."

Crystallex International Corp. (AMEX: KRY) 22% HIGHER; received notice from the Corporacion Venezolana de Guayana, that the requirements of the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources of Venezuela for the issuance of the Environmental permit to commence construction of the Las Cristinas Project have been fulfilled.

Genelabs Technologies (Nasdaq: GNLB) 18% HIGHER; Oppenheimer startss at Buy

Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. (NYSE: ACH) 8% HIGHER; Goldman upgrades to Buy

Select Comfort Corporation (Nasdaq: SCSS) 6.6% LOWER; lowers expectations for the second quarter and second half of the year. The company is lowering their outlook for full year sales to $840 million to $860 million, a year over year growth rate of 4% to 7%, versus the consensus of $891.6 million. The company's earnings outlook is also being revised to $0.87 per share to $0.93 per share, versus the consensus of $1.00.

Clearwire Corporation (Nasdaq: CLWR) 5% HIGHER; announced distribution agreements with DIRECTV (NYSE: DTV) and EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH)

Jones Soda Co. (NASDAQ: JSDA) 4.7% LOWER; Reports Starbucks to stop selling Jones Soda

Casey's General (NASDAQ: CASY) 4.6% HIGHER; reported Q4 earnings of $0.30 per share, ex-items, 4 cents better than estimates. ($0.26) Revenues came in at $997.6 million versus the consensus of $995.4 million.

Computer Sciences (NYSE: CSC) 3% LOWER; reported Q4 earnings of $1.56 per share, ex-items, versus the consensus of $1.49. Revenues came in at $4.05 billion versus the consensus of $4.1 billion. Sees FY08 EPS of $4.00-$4.20, versus the consensus of $4.17. Sees Q1 EPS of $0.65-$0.75, versus the consensus of $0.76.

Sunrise Senior Living Inc. (NYSE: SRZ) 2.5% HIGHER; Hedge fund Millennium Partners wants Sunrise Senior Living sold or management replaced

Sanofi-Aventis (NYSE: SNY) 2.3% LOWER; An FDA panel voted 14-0 that Zimulti risks outweigh the benefits.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS) 2.2% LOWER; Reports Q2 EPS of $4.93, versus the consensus of $4.79 Revenues came in at $10.18 billion versus the consensus of $10.16 billion.

Iconix Brand Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: ICON) 2% LOWER; intends to offer $250 million aggregate principal amount of Convertible Senior Subordinated Notes due 2012.

Bear Stearns Companies Inc. (NYSE: BSC) 2% LOWER; reports Q2 EPS of $3.40, ex-items, below the consensus of $3.50. Revenues came in at $2.52 billion versus the consensus of $2.33 billion.

L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) 1.7% HIGHER; Was awarded a baseline contract estimated at $2.04 billion over the life of the program to supply a minimum of 78 C-27J Joint Cargo Aircraft (JCA) to the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.

QMed, Inc., (Nasdaq: QMED) INDICATED LOWER' announced that the financial guidance for its Special Needs Plans revenue, inclusive of its Dual eligible plan, for fiscal 2007 has been reduced. The Company's revenue guidance is now in the range of $31-$33 million compared with the previous range of $38-$44.5 million. (Consensus is $42.78 million)
