Shares are YM BioSciences Inc. (AMEX: YMI) 47% LOWER; the independent Data Safety Monitoring Board for the pivotal Phase III trial of tesmilifene in patients with metastatic or recurrent breast cancer advised the Company to stop the trial based on an interim analysis of 351 events, indicating it is very unlikely significant differences in overall survival will be shown between treatment arms as the data mature. The trial was not stopped due to safety concerns relating to the product.
Key Tronic Corporation (NASDAQ: KTCC) 23% LOWER; reported total Q2 revenue of $49.8 million. "The second quarter of fiscal 2007 included a one-time charge of $940,000 for inventory and receivables reserves related to a specific customer unexpectedly declaring bankruptcy in December. At this time, the Company does not know if it can collect some or all of the outstanding receivables associated with this customer."
Palatin Technologies (Amex: PTN) 22% HIGHER; the company and AstraZeneca (NYSE: AZN) announced an exclusive global licensing and research collaboration agreement to discover, develop and commercialise small molecule compounds that target melanocortin receptors.
SiRF Technology (Nasdaq: SIRF) 17% HIGHER; reports Q4 EPS of (non-GAAP) $0.28, 4 cents better than estimates.(0.24) Revenues were $74.2 million vs. $70.03 million consensus.
e-Future Information Technology Inc (Nasdaq: EFUT) 14% HIGHER; was selected by IBM to provide customer management (eCard) solution and services for B&Q China. B&Q chose IBM as its total solution provider of front business processes optimization in China and integration with SAP's end solutions.
Polydex Pharmaceuticals Limited (Nasdaq: POLXF) 13% LOWER; reports that CONRAD, a reproductive health research organization, announced that it has halted a Phase III clinical trial of Ushercell -- a cellulose sulfate based topical microbicide gel being tested for HIV prevention in women -- because preliminary results at some trial sites indicated that cellulose sulfate could lead to potential increased risk of HIV infection in women who use the compound. The trial was being conducted in South Africa, Benin, Uganda, and India.
NutriSystem, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRI) 11% LOWER; sees Q1 EPS of $0.82 and $0.86 and revenues of $200 and $210 million. The consensus is $0.95 and $213.95 million.
Websense (Nasdaq: WBSN) 11% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.25, in-line with estimates.(0.25) Revenues were $47.3 million vs. $47.83 million consensus. Sees Q1 EPS between $0.19-0.21 vs. $0.25 consensus. Sees Q1 revenues between $48.5-49.5 million vs. $49.7 million consensus.

Waste Services Inc. (Nasdaq: WSII) 9% HIGHER; Jim Cramer makes comments on Waste Services, saying this stock is ripe for a short squeeze.
Avanir Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: AVNR) 7% HIGHER; received an approvable letter and acceptable labeling from the FDA for a new formulation of its currently marketed antipsychotic drug FazaClo.

Estee Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE: EL) 5% HIGHER; reports Q2 EPS of $0.99 vs. consensus of $0.76. Revenues were $1.99 billion vs. $1.91 billion consensus. "Our strong earnings and cash flow give us the opportunity to accelerate and increase our investments in our business, enabling us to grow for the long term. Taking a shorter term perspective, the solid first half and our confidence in our business for the balance of the fiscal year permits us to raise our full year earnings per share estimate to $2.10 to $2.20." (Current consensus is $2.09)
Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (NYSE: BMY) 5% HIGHER; reports from FT.com the company is boosting its investment banking team related to an expected takeover approach from Sanofi.
Applied Microsystems (Nasdaq: AMCC) 4.5% LOWER; reports Q3 EPS of $0.03, in-line with estimates.(0.03) Revenues were $76.6 million vs. $79.83 million consensus.
Juniper Networks (Nasdaq: JNPR) 4% LOWER; reports Q4 revenues of $595.8 million vs. $593.06 million consensus. Company delays EPS report.
