Pre-Open Movers 4/18: Citi (C) Up As Results Prove Not As Bad; Google (GOOG) Continues To Run on Blow-Out Results

TomoTherapy Incorporated (NASDAQ: TOMO) 32% LOWER; sees Q1 revenue of approximately $39 million, and a net loss of approximately $0.12 per diluted share. (Q1 revenue consensus is $56.88 million and EPS consensus is $0.04 profit. TomoTherapy is lowering its annual guidance for 2008. Management now anticipates revenue of $255 million to $290 million and net income per share in the range of $0.14 to $0.33 per diluted share. (FY08 revenue consensus is $302.46 million and EPS consensus is $0.36)
Overstock.com (Nasdaq: OSTK) 30% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $0.17. Revenue came in at $200.7 million, versus the consensus of $168.9 million.
Google (Nasdaq: GOOG) 18% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $4.84, ex-items, versus the the analyst estimate of $4.52. Revenues for the quarter were $3.7 billion, versus the consensus of $3.61 billion.
MF Global Ltd (NYSE: MF) 13% HIGHER; JP Morgan Adds to Focus List; JANA Partners discloses 8.2% stake.
E*TRADE Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: ETFC) 12.4% HIGHER; reports a Q1 loss of $0.15, 5 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.10). Revenues for the quarter were $316.2 million, versus the consensus of $363.94 million.
PMC-Sierra, Inc. (Nasdaq: PMCS) 12% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.11, 3 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.08. Revenues for the quarter were $125 million, versus the consensus of $123.07 million.
Zygo Corporation (Nasdaq: ZIGO) 11% LOWER; said it anticipates third quarter sales to be approximately $38.0 million and expects third quarter net earnings to be break-even. This is below the consensus of $44 million and $0.20.
Tempur Pedic International (NYSE: TPX) 10% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.18, 1 cent lower than the analyst estimate of $0.19. Revenues for the quarter were $247.2 million, versus the consensus of $242.62 million. Sees FY08 EPS of $1.20-$1.45, versus the consensus of $1.27.
Citigroup (NYSE: C) 9.6% HIGHER; reports Q1 loss of $1.02 per share, below the consensus of a $0.95 loss. Revenues came in at $13.22 billion, versus the consensus of $12.77 billion. Results include $6.0 billion in pre-tax write-downs and credit costs on sub-prime related direct exposures. Results also include write-downs of $3.1 billion (net of underwriting fees) on funded and unfunded highly leveraged finance commitments, a downward credit value adjustment of $1.5 billion related to exposure to monoline insurers, write-downs of $1.5 billion on auction rate securities inventory, and a $3.1 billion increase in credit costs in global consumer.
Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISRG) 8% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $1.12, 14 cents better than the analyst estimate of $0.98. Revenues for the quarter were $188.2 million, versus the consensus of $178.21 million. ISRG reiterates their 2008 guidance, but said it sees higher 2008 costs on stock option expenses. Stock option costs to double.
United Stationers Inc. (NASDAQ: USTR) 8% LOWER; today reported preliminary results for its Q1. Sales are expected to be about $1.25 billion, versus the consensus of $1.27 billion. Sees EPS in the range of $85-$0.90, versus the Street estimate fo $1.14.
Baidu.com (Nasdaq: BIDU) 6.5% HIGHER; Higher on Google results
Transition Therapeutics (Nasdaq: TTHI) 6% HIGHER; Piper Jaffray starts at Buy
Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) 5.7% HIGHER; estimates net sales for the first quarter ended March 31, 2008 of approximately $366 million, an estimated increase of approximately 10% as compared to the first quarter of 2007, with a corresponding estimated increase of approximately 25% in earnings per diluted share that is estimated to range from $0.59 to $0.61. (Q1 revenue consensus is $347.77 million and EPS consensus is $0.58)
Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) 4.4% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $1.45, versus the consensus of $1.33. Revenues came in at $11.8 billion, versus the consensus of $10.77 billion. Caterpillar sees FY EPS and revenue up 5%-10%.
Honeywell (NYSE: HON) 3.7% HIGHER; reports Q1 earnings of $0.85 per share, 3 cents better than estimates. Revenues came $8.9 billion, versus the consensus of $8.73 billion. Honeywell sees FY08 EPS of $3.70-$3.80, versus the consensus of $3.76 consensus. Sees FY08 revenues of $36.8-$37.4 billion, versus the consensus of $36.79 billion.
SanDisk Corp. (Nasdaq: SNDK) 3.5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.21, 5 cents below analyst estimate of $0.26. Revenues for the quarter were $850 million, versus the consensus of $810.92 million.
Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) 3.4% HIGHER; reports a Q1 loss of $0.59, 8 cents lower than the analyst estimate of ($0.51). Revenues for the quarter were $1.505 billion, versus the consensus of $1.5 billion.
Alliance Data Systems (NYSE: ADS) 2.8% HIGHER; Piper upgrades to Buy
