Notable ETF Movers of the Day 06/30: OIH, UNG, KOL Higher; VXX ,UUP Lower

Gainers

  • Oil Services HOLDRs (NYSE: OIH) up 3.07% to $97.04. Up today as speculation that relief wells could be drilled earlier than expected and that BP could turn into a takeover target. Bp (NYSE: BP) shares are up 3.22% so far today, though they've been up as much as 4.9%.

  • United States Natural Gas (NYSE: UNG) up 1.04% to $7.75. Nat gas is trading a little higher today over concerns of Hurricane Alex in the Gulf of Mexico, though some say that it will steer clear of gas platforms a pipelines.

  • Market Vectors Coal ETF (NYSE: KOL) up 1.96% to $30.66. The U.S. Export-Import Bank said that it would reconsider a decsion made last week to fund the purchase of coal mining equipment by Reliance Power of India.

  • iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (NYSE: VXX) down 3.28% to $29.78. The CBOE VIX is down 6.65% today, as investors tiptoe back into the market on mixed economic data, and returning complacency.

  • PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish (NYSE: UUP) down0.40% to $24.98. Lower today against most currencies as the ADP jobs number came in at 13K, below the consensus of 61K and 57K reported for the month prior.
