Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 03/14: (RAD) (AAPL) (INTC) (LSI) High; (KGC) (RSH) (AU) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Rite Aid Corp. (NYSE: RAD) high of $2.12. Rite Aid moving higher again on some M&A chatter today. Credit Suisse issued a note earlier making a case for Walgreen (NYSE: WAG) to acquire Rite Aid, seeing a one-in-three chance of a deal happening.

  • Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) high of $594.73. You read that right, Apple hit a point just a few dollars $600 earlier in the session. As a reminder, Apple hit $400 in December, three months ago, and $500 in February, as more and more individuals and institutions continue to buy in, and few sell out.

  • Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) high of $27.90. Intel got a little bump as JMP moved its price target on the shares from $30 to $33, keeping an Outperform rating. Shares moved 1.5 percent on the session.

  • LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI) high of $9.20. LSI Corp. moving about 6.8 percent higher following a business and guidance update. The firm boosted its first-quarter 2012 revs outlook from a range of $550 - $590 million to a new range of $585 - $615 million. Non-GAAP EPS to be 12 cents to 16 cents. The Street currently sees revs of $571.7 million and EPS of 12 cents.
52-Week Low:
  • Kinross Gold Corp. (NYSE: KGC) low of $9.78. Gold is dipping Wednesday following Fed comments delaying any expected quantitative easing further. Analysts have said there may be further slippage as investors liquidate positions in favor of the risk trade. April contracts are $57.5 lower to $1,636.7 per ounce on the Comex.

  • AngloGold Ashanti (NYSE: AU) low of $37.42. AngloGold moving along with gold today, shares down 5.2 percent for the session.

  • RadioShack Corp. (NYSE: RSH) low of 6.68. RadioShack lower ahead of the debut of Apple's new iPad coming up Friday. Investors could be focusing on the lack of exclusivity, with the new iPad available at Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Target and Walmart.
