Notable 52-Week Highs and Lows of the Day 01/24: (COH) (BVSN) (WPRT) High; (FTR) (BBG) (AEM) Low

This report is an intraday check of some of the more notable stocks that have hit a 52-week high or low so far today.

52-Week High:
  • Coach (NYSE: COH) high of $69.23. Coach is higher following solid second-quarter results which saw revs of $1.45 billion and EPS of $1.18. The Street was looking for revs of $1.43 billion and earnings of $1.15 per share.

  • BroadVision, Inc. (Nasdaq: BVSN) high of $44.75. BroadVision continues to march higher. At $44.75, the stock is up 300 percent for 2012. Peer Ku6 Media Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: KUTV) is also seeing a little action today, up about 1.6 percent on the session.

  • Westport Innovations Inc. (Nasdaq: WPRT) high of $37.95. Westport up 6.6 percent to the new mark following some bullish CEO comments issued yesterday when speaking with Jim Cramer. CEO David Demers was positive on the potential for nat gas, and outlined some great examples of the possibility for the commodity moving forward.
52-Week Low:
  • Frontier Communications Corporation (NYSE: FTR) low of $4.72. Frontier down following peer Verizon's (NYSE: VZ) quarterly results. Verizon saw compressed margins in the quarter as input costs continued to creep higher. For more color on those results, click here.

    Frontier moved just 2.7 percent to the new low Tuesday.

  • Bill Barrett Corporation (NYSE: BBG) low of $28.12. Bill Barrett issued an update on its proved reserves for 2011 as well as guidance for 2012. Shares moved over 7 percent to the new low.

  • Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. (NYSE: AEM) low of $34.40. Agnico-Eagle seeing pressure on a relatively rare down day for gold. The stock has really been on a downturn since its third-quarter report in October, which EPS fell about 12 cents short of the Street's view.
